"Harmonies of Autumn" Editorial - Published by Shuba Magazine
November 10th, 2018
After the success of our last shoot and how happy we were with the results, make up artist Yelena, hair stylist Erum and I decided we should put together another beauty shoot before Yelena moved to Ottawa in October.
Keeping with the season, we decided to do a fall beauty shoot! Yelena pulled all her autumn coloured makeup and Erum played with braids and hair crowns.
For this shoot we had Elyssa from Richard's Models, who has the most beautiful brown eyes.
We were also fortunate enough to have our submission accepted by Shuba Magazine, who published the editorial in their October issue #17, Vol. 3.
We ended up doing 5 looks the day of the shoot, but I think my favourite two looks are the ones below:
For lighting I once again used my 64" silver PLM from Paul C Buff with the diffusion panel.
This time however, I used my living room wall as a backdrop as we wanted a warm beige tone for the backdrop colour, and I don't currently own a seamless in that colour!
Here is the complete list of gear again:
- Nikon d800
- Nikon 85mm f1.8
- One Alien Bee B800
- 64" Silver PLM with diffusion panel by Paul C Buff
- 32" white&silver reflector by LiteDisc (I used the white side).
And the technical details:
- Tethered using Capture One 11.
- Shot at ISO 100, f9, 1/160s.
- Colour toned with Infinite Color Panel
And the lighting diagram:
